Sejarah Orkes Melayu OM SERA, mungkin banyak kalangan yang masih belum mengenal Orkes dangdut koplo asli Jawa Timur ini. OM SERA salah satu Grup Dangdut beraliran Koplo Jap dan Koplo Tabla yang merupakan Sub- Stream dari dangdut koplo, asal kalian tau ya, musik sub-stream gak cuma musik ROCK aja yang punya, salah satunya musik OM SERA ini yang punya sub-stream :D. OM SERA ini didirikan di sekitar jombang pada tahun 2003, namanya terdiri dari 2 kata yaitu SE-lera RA-kyat. OM SERA di pimpin oleh seseorang yang bernama Moch. Sholeh atau biasa di kenal dengan sebutan Abah Sholeh. Musisi OM SERA saat itu adalah Slamet (Kendang) , Lambang (Bass) , Wito (Melody) , Wahono (Rythem) , Alex (Thamborin) , Wiwin (Suling) , Nuri (Keyboard 1) , Acik (Keyboard 2) , Arifin (Host).

OM SERA berdiri dengan tujuan ingin mempersembahkan segala musik sesuai selera rakyat indonesia. Setelah sukses pada show perdananya pada tahun 2003, secara tak sengaja dokumentasi CD beredar luas dengan single andalanya lagu YANG di bawakan oleh Brodien, Sera berhasil merebut perhatian masyarakat bahkan CDnya sudah mencapai mancanegara. Hal ini perpengaruh pula pada show- show SERA selanjutnya yang kemudian merambah hingga ke wilayah Jawa Tengah. Lewat acara sedekah laut tak lupa pula tradisi sawer masyarakat setempat yang mampu meraup hingga jutaan rupiah.

Seiring berjalannya waktu, terjadi perombakan di tubuh SERA. Karena kesibukkan lain wahono selaku rythem terpaksa harus mengundurkan diri, kemudian di gantikan oleh Prawito Rythem, hingga merambat sampai slamet, alex dan lambang yang notabennya personil dari PALLAPA lama kelamaa tidak bisa membagi waktu dengan 2 Orkes ini karena jadwal yang bebarengan, alhasil mereka harus mengundurkan diri dan kembali ke PALLAPA, mereka di gantikan oleh Irfan Yulianto ( Kendang +Drum) , Wasis (Thamborin) , Yetno (Bass) dan Acikpun harus berpindah ke keyboard 1 karena nuri menyusul mengundurkan diri.

Pertengahan tahun 2006 Sera kembali kehilangan musisinya Wito Melody memilih mengundurkan diri karena usaha sampingan yang di gelutinya sukses besar, sebagai gantinya di temukan Djoyo Gunawan Melody, sebagai pelengkap keyboar 2 masuklah Imam Sariban, kekompakan SERA melahirkan temuan variasi baru dalam bermusik dari keroncong, bossanova, reggae, blues, remix, jazz hingga kepangan berhasil di mix dengan sangat apik. Variasi ini sempat menjadi trendsetter musik di Jawa Timur bahkan Jakarta.

Akhir tahun 2008 acik keyboard 1 harus istirahat sementara dari dunia intertain karena tugas negara , dia di gantikan oleh Didit Samohong, 6 bulan berjalan Imam Sariban dalam kebimbangan, dia harus memilih SERA dan SONATA Grup orkes yang telah membesarkan namanya, akhirnya Imam memilih kembali ke SONATA. Kekosongan ini kemudian kembali di isi oleh Acik selaku keyboard 1 dan Didit Keyboar 2, dari tahun 2008 personil SERA tetapnya meliputi sebagai :

dengan musisi tetapnya di atas SERA mulai terkenal di semua kalangan masyarakat dunia, berjalan hingga di akhir tahun 2014 terjadi problem lagi di tubuh SERA hingga meninggalkan 2 musisi yaitu Wiwin Suling dan Acik DJ Keyboard 1, setelah berganti-ganti musisi untuk melengkapi show OM SERA , saat itu kepanikan di hadapi oleh SERA saat kehilangan 2 musisi handalnya, namun tidak lama kemudian masuklah musisi baru yaitu Aries DJ Sera Keyboard 1 pengganti ACIK DJ dan Mustofa Suling pengganti Wiwin Suling, hingga saat ini penampilan SERA lebih memukau penggemarnya di belantikan musik indonesia.
