The Book of Enoch is an intertestational book, which is part of the canon of the Bible of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church but is not accepted as a canon by the other Christian churches. > In spite of having been found in some of the codices of the Septuagint (Vatican Codex and Papers Chester Beatty). The Beta Israel (Ethiopian Jews) include it in the Tanach, unlike the other Jews today, who exclude it.
Three other books of Enoch are known: the Second Book of Enoch (2 Enoch), written at the end of the first century or later and preserved in Church Slavic; The later (of composition after the fifth century), Third Book of Enoch (3 Enoch), in Hebrew; And the Coptic Enoch (4 Enoch), which dates from the fifth century and from which barely any parts have been found.
