Welcome to Auto GeoTagger, a tool that automatically geotaggs your photos with a GPX log file!

What your problem is:
• you own a camera which lacks a GPS module and thus cannot save your current location to the photo's metadata
• anyway, you would like to have your location saved to your pictures (which is called "geotagging")

What you need to solve it:
• a GPX file, also called a GPS track log, which your phone recorded (e.g. by "Open GPS Tracker") while you took photos with your regular camera
• a folder with these photos which do not have GPS geo coordinates (latitude and longitude) in their metadata

What you get:
• your exact same photos but with the most appropriate geo locations written to their EXIF metadata
• that lets you e.g. visualize photos of your last holiday trip on a map

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The tool writes the best locations from a GPX file to the photos' EXIF data by matching the timestamps.
This enables you to present your photos on a map or recall the location years after you shot it.
Note that your photos and GPX waypoints need to have valid timestamps and your photos have to be in JPG or JPEG file format.

1. step: Pick one or multiple folder(s) with photos and select all photos you want to be geotagged.

2. step: Pick one or multiple GPX file(s) and select all waypoints which should be included in the geotagging process.
Tip: You can record a GPX file easily with "Open GPS Tracker" or similar apps.

3. step: Click the "Do it!" button and enjoy.
Tip: Set a maximum time difference between GPX waypoint's and photo's timestamp of 180 minutes to get accurate results.
