The purpose of this Roman Telugu Hymn Book “Seeyonu
Geethamulu” is to enable Telugu speaking believers, who are
scattered all over the world, to sing in their vernacular. It is
intended to facilitate singing in Telugu for those who speak
Telugu, but are unable to read it. These hymns are timeless and
unique, as they carry messages delivered by great men of God,
over the past several decades; composed in these song forms.
In the year 2005 the Holy Spirit led us to undertake this enormous
project of transliterating the Songs of Zion from the Telugu script
into Roman Telugu. The Hymn Book was transliterated by the
contribution of some of our believers at Ephesus Prayer House,
Botswana and those in India. The first edition of the book
“Seeyonu Geethamulu” in Roman Telugu was published in the
year 2006. And the second publication was in the year 2012.
Once again, the need was felt to review the entire work meticulously,
in order to make it consistent with professional work. After almost a
year of intense work and careful editing, word by word and collective
efforts of the faithful believers; we have published this fourth edition
of “Seeyonu Geethamulu” 2016, for the edification of the saints and
for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In this new edition we have incorporated the English phonetics, to help
the readers accurately pronounce the words; with the help of those
conversant in Telugu language. Moreover, we have included additional
songs and its serial numbers corresponding to the latest Telugu edition
of Seeyonu Geethamulu. We thank the Lord for enabling us to complete
this work and are also grateful to those of the many believers who have
been willing to read the text and offer constructive criticisms; those who
typed and made numerous correction with excellent efficiency.
Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children
of Israel. Deuteronomy 31:22
