King, Little Milton, Pinetop Perkins, Elvis Presley, Charley Pride, Bobby Rush, Rufus Thomas, and Muddy Waters. Musician Ike Turner worked as a janitor at WROX, while attending Clarksdale High School. WROX started transmitting on June 5, 1944.
