World Time Zones
The World Time Zones can tell you the accurate time about any timezone of the world.To add this widget, simply long press on your home screen and select Simple World Clock Widget.
A timezone is a region of the globe that observes a uniform standard time for legal, commercial, and social purposes. Time zones tend to follow the boundaries of countries and their subdivisions because it is convenient for areas in close commercial or other communication to keep the same time.
Some higher latitude and temperate timezone countries use daylight saving time for part of the year, typically by adjusting local clock time by an hour. Many land timezones are skewed toward the west of the corresponding nautical time zones. This also creates a permanent daylight saving time effect.
Every time zone converter is related to time coordinates. The reference point of the timezone is the first Meridian (longitude 0 °), which passes through the Royal Greenwich Observatory in Greenwich, London, United Kingdom. For this reason, it is often used. Greenwich Mean Time To show the basic time associated with different time zone converter, however, use UTC as the official time unit. This is different from the traditional Greenwich method using time reference based on astronomical principle.
GMT (UTC) will be a Greenwich Mean Time only from 1:00 UTC of the last Sunday in October to 1:00 UTC of last Sunday in March. For the rest of the year, Greenwich will be UTC + 1, which in the UK will call this time (BST - British Summer Time).
