Wealth of Nations Advisors was established 6 years ago to assist foreign alternative asset management firms geographically diversify their investor base by raising assets from wholesale institutional investors in Australia and New Zealand. Today we are the largest Australian placement agent representing 13 global clients who between them manage in excess of $350 billion in assets across a diverse range of investment strategies and asset classes. In the last 24 months we have assisted our clients raise in excess of a $1 billion in assets.
Since inception we have had a mission to find a way in which our firm could give back and it’s in the last 12 months that we have found a way to do just that, by leveraging our firms expertise and intellectual capital to launch our Impact Investing Portfolio (IIP). With a team of experienced investment professionals, supported by technology, we are actively engaged with over 130 wholesale institutional investors, 7 asset consulting firms and over 600 investment professionals across Australia and New Zealand.
IIP is a portfolio of local as well as international asset managers focused on impact investing opportunities across environmental and social themes and sub-themes that we assist in raising assets through direct face-to-face engagement with wholesale investors supported by the launch of our IIP app.
The IIP app helps to build an alliance for impact by fostering high-touch engagement between investors, impact managers, and partners for impact by creating a platform through which the impact community can easily exchange information on ‘all things impact’ and most importantly, will encourage greater investment into what we truly believe to be the future of investing. If ESG was the onramp, then Impact Investing is the off-ramp and the next evolution in investing. All investments in the future will be judged on their direct impact on the environment and society at large.
We have an ambitious aim and that is to assist impact managers with which we are engaged to raise $10 billion over the next 5 years from wholesale institutional investors within Australia, New Zealand and greater Asia.
We are calling out to international as well as local impact managers and investors to help us realise what see as our collective ambition. There is no shortage of deployable capital or investible impact opportunities in our region.
