Alternatively if you are buying your wedding cake from a supermarket or baking your wedding cake yourself you can arrange to have it brought to your venue the day before or morning of your wedding so the staff can set it up for you. Not only will you need to consider what style of wedding cake to choose, but you will also need to decide on what to have as a filling. For variety, some couples have the different tiers of their wedding cake created in different flavors. Wedding cake fillings can consist of sponge and chocolate with vanilla and carrot. Having different fillings in your wedding cake is great for giving your wedding guest a choice on your reception buffet, or if you are serving your wedding cake as dessert. Traditionally the wedding cake was cut up during the reception and then sent home with guests in cake boxes or bags at the end of the evening, but now a days wedding cake is served throughout the evening reception buffet for guests to enjoy.
