The Centenary Project mobile app forms part of a broader innovative concept aimed at digitally archiving various cultural themes in Nigeria's history and displaying them through web and mobile technology. Using technology provided by the Google Cultural Institute, The Centenary Project researches, generates, curates and publishes historical exhibits about Nigeria in the past 100 years. This mobile app showcases some of these exhibits which are also available at http://www.centenary.ng and other web platforms owned and managed by the project.

The Centenary Project is based on the conviction that Nigeria's first 100 years as a nation presents an opportunity to look back at its history in order to recall familiar accounts, discover untold narratives and imbibe new lessons for the future. This app captures part of the rich and vast display of historical information about the country which, we hope, will help to foster national and cultural values among Nigerians. Its content is grouped under various categories (art, film, literature, politics, photography, music etc.) which cover different facets of the country's life and history.

The Centenary Project was conceived and developed by Patrick Enaholo along with a team of dedicated researchers at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University. The exhibits in the mobile app have been curated by Patrick Enaholo, Rita Moemeke with support from Emem Akpabio, Akinyemi Adetunji, and Tope Akintola.
