You've probably heard of the Yeti and the Lock Ness Monster but have you heard of Squishy?
WHAT IS SQUISHY?
You may not have heard of a creature spotted only a hand full of times deep in the jungle of Madagascar. Over the years it's been given many nickname such as "The Blue Repeater" and "Ball'o'Blue", but is more commonly known as Squishy due to blue round squash ball appearance.
About a month ago I was lucky enough to take an expedition to Madagascar in search of this very rare creature. While there I set up a remote webcam with built in mic and remote controlled laser pointer attached. It took about 2 weeks before this less known species was caught on camera. For some unknown reason Squishy seems to be attracted to the camera and will follow the laser pointer mimicking any sound it hears
The great news is even though I am back home in Wales I have left the webcam setup, so everyone including you now has a chance to observe and interact with Squishy using this app.
WHAT CAN YOU DO IN THE APP AND HOW CAN YOU INTERACT WITH SQUISHY?
- Turn on the mic and Speak to Squishy and it'll repeat what you're saying .
- Moving your finger on the screen which will remotely controlled laser pointer which squishy seems to love to follow. As Squishy moves the pitch of the sound will get lower and higher.
- There's also an old goldfish bowl which squishy sits in and makes the sound echo
- You can also record a sound and Squishy will repeat it along with the sound it hears simultaneously.
