Sūrat al-Muzzammil (Arabic: سورة المزمل, "Shattered, Bundled Up, Enfolded") is Sura 73, or chapter, of the Qur'an. There are 20 ayaats in this sura and it is revealed in Makkah. Some scientists say
that it was revealed in Medina.
It is narrated from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) that someone who recites this sura will never face difficult times. People who read it in Isha or Tahajjud prayer always remain pure in heart and even die when he is in pure state.
Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s.) says that someone who recites this Surah correctly will have the opportunity to meet the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and if he prays for something from Allah (s.w.t.) he will get it. Reading the surah al-Muzammil a hundred times on Thursday evening caused the forgery of a hundred major sins and produced a hundred awards. The reading of this sura protects a person from madness and from being a slave to one.
