Al-Fatiha (سورة الفاتحة) is the first sura of the Qur'an. Seven verses (Ayat) is a prayer for guidance, divinity and grace of God. This surah has an important role in the Islamic prayer (Salat). The
literal meaning principal of the phrase "al-Fatihah" is "opening", which could refer to the chapter to "the opening of the Book" (Fātiḥat al-Kitab), to the first chapter was read in each cycle
(cycles) of prayer, or the way in where he serves as an opener for a lot of functions in daily Islamic life.
Al-Fatihah is often believed to be a synthesis of the Qur'an.
