Das Kulturzentrums SUB, zentral gelegen, frei und unabhängig betrieben, schafft eine Vielzahl von Möglichkeiten, an die bisher nicht zu denken war: Konzerte, Ausstellungen, Workshops, DJ-Lines, Lesungen, Kleinkunst, Party, Theater und vieles mehr. Die Eckpunkte sind Vielfalt, Förderung und Forum für lokale Szenen, Konfrontation mit Ungewöhnlichem und ein erweiterter Kunst und Kulturbegriff durch Maßnahmen und Projekte in Bereichen wie Fotografie, Grafik-, Möbel-, Mode- und Sounddesign.
Herzstück des SUB ist eine Halle für 250 Personen mit 6x5 Metern Bühnenfläche und einer in Europa einzigartigen Musikanlage und ein Cafe als gemütlichen und kommunikativen Gegenpol, das auch unabhängig bespielbar ist, bietet multifunktionale Ton- und Lichttechnik und erlaubt damit unterschiedlichste Nutzungen. Das SUB wird kein Lokal: jeder Öffnungstag bietet anderen Veranstaltern die Möglichkeit, Programm zu machen.
