ஒரு சராசர மனதன் நகழ் காலத்துக்கும், இறந்த காலத்துக்கும் இடையல் அடக்கட சென்று வரும் பயணமே இக்கதையன் கரு. பூர்வ ஜென்ம ஞாபகங்களை கருவாகக் கொண்ட எண்ணற்ற கதைகளை நாம் இக்காலத்தல் படத்து இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் அக்காலத்தலேயே அதனைக் கருவாகக் கொண்டு கதையை அமைத்த வெகு சல எழுத்தாளர்களல் கல்கயும் ஒருவர். அது மட்டும் அல்ல உண்மையான காதலர்கள் இறந்தாலும் காதல் சாவதல்லை அது ஜென்ம, ஜென்மமாய் தொடர்ந்து வரும் என்பதற்கு இந்த நாவல் ஒரு உதாரணம். உண்மைக் காதலர்கள் அனைவரும் அவசயம் பதவறக்கம் செய்து படக்க வேண்டய நாவல் இது.
