Safaree is a personal mobile phone application for Bangladeshis living in foreign countries. It is available now only for Android mobile phones and both in Bengali and English. To use infotainment contents, mobile phone internet (data service) is required, which mobile phone subscribers must purchase from mobile operator, separate from Safaree app. Safaree app can also be used via Wi-Fi internet connection from mobile phones. Safaree app has following items:
1. Health hotline: talk with a doctor in Bangladesh. You can talk directly with a doctor in Bangladesh for health information and advices, its absolutely free. It does not matter how far your workplace from doctor’s office or a hospital. Health advices now are just a call away from you, and easily reachable by the touch of a button in Safaree app.
2. Entertainment: vast library of Bengali songs, live FM radio and TV channel programs - all from Bangladesh.
3. Information: online Bangladeshi newspapers, newsfeed and general tips for expatriates.
4. Financial services: soon Safaree app will offer different financial services for its users, e.g. mobile top-up for family members in Bangladesh, mobile remittances services and health, life and other insurance schemes.
Subscription Plans: two types of subscription plans are available, Safaree Lite and Safaree Plus (which are detailed below). To know further detail about Safaree app features and all subscription options, download and install the Safaree app and read information under “Safaree - Detail” button.
A. Safaree Lite plan: this is a free subscription with limited number of features under this plan. Under Safaree Lite plan “health hotline” is not available, which provides health advices free-of-cost directly from doctors in Bangladesh.
B. Safaree Plus plan: has all features of Safaree app including health hotline services. It requires payment of a separate subscription fee. Safaree Plus plan is offered through select mobile operators in select countries where Bangladeshis work as migrants. You need to subscribe through your mobile operator.
Safaree Health Hotline - why and how to use:
You are living and working in foreign country, alone or with family, sickness may strike anytime. It may not always be possible to visit hospital or doctor’s office whenever illness strikes. For simple or serious sickness in foreign country, health hotline is a convenient and popular method. It gives you options (a) to talk directly with a doctor in your home country, and (b) in your own language, (c) to get detail information and advice regarding your health and illness. Safaree Health Hotline system has been setup to ease your life as an expatriate and to reduce your sufferings during sickness. In foreign countries, where you live, if you use the “Health Hotline” button form Safaree app then the call will be transferred to medical call center in Bangladesh. You will be able to discuss and know necessary information and health advice directly form licensed doctors.

From now talk with a doctor directly in sickness and understand what you should do, how to treat yourself, which medicines you can buy from pharmacies, weather you need to go to hospital or doctor’s office, when to visit hospital and where, you can take all information easily just by using the “Health Hotline” button in your Safaree app.
Cost of calls to Safaree health hotline: for calls to health hotline in Saudi Arabia, your mobile operator will charge you SAR 0.15 (15 Halala) per minute basis. You will not pay any fee for taking advice from doctor when you use Safaree health hotline as long as you are subscribed to Safaree Plus plan.
