Rockabilly Music

Rockabilly is one of the first rock and roll subgenres. It originates in the 1950s.

The term is the contraction of the words rock and hillbilly, referring to a rough folk variety known as hillbilly music in the decade of 1940-50 that contributed greatly to the development of his style. Other rockabilly influences include western swing, rhythm & blues, boogie woogie, and folk music from the Appalachians. Although there are exceptions, their origin rests in the southern region of the United States.

The typical clothing of the Rockabillis have served as inspiration for different fashions. The black leather jackets, piped pants with more modern applications have been very well accepted in pop culture.
