Ratib Al-Attas ini dikarang oleh al-Habib Umar bin Abdurrahman al-Attas dan sekarang telah berusia kira-kira 400 tahun. Ratib yang dimaksudkan di sini berasal dari perkataan (rattaba) berarti mengatur atau menyusun. Ratib adalah sesuatu yang tersusun, teratur dengan rapinya. Ratib al-Attas mengandung zikir, ayat-ayat al-Quran dan doa-doa yang telah disusun oleh al-Habib Umar bin Abdul Rahman al-Attas yang juga dibaca pada waktu-waktu yang tertentu.

Secara umum Ratib berfadhilah sebagai berikut :

- Menjaga batin kita dari kemunafikan
- Dapat mencegah su’ul khotimah.
- Meluaskan rezeki.
- Melapangkan kesempitan.
- Mencegah bahaya dan mengembalikannya.
- Menjadikan hidup berkah, bercahaya.
- Membentengi diri dari aqidah sesat dan kezhaliman.
- Merupakan pagar pelindung bagi diri, keluarga, dan harta.
- Memohon ampun dari dosa-dosa, panjang umur diberi keberkahan dalam hidup dan untuk anak cucu Dll.

Ratib Al-Attas is composed by al-Habib Umar bin Abdurrahman al-Attas and now has aged about 400 years. Ratib is meant here is derived from the words (rattaba) means to arrange or compose. Ratib is something constructed, with neatly organized. Ratib al-Attas containing remembrance, the verses of the Koran and prayers that have been compiled by al-Habib Umar bin Abdul Rahman al-Attas who also read at certain times.
