A Rádio Onda Oeste - 100,3 FM entrou no ar no dia 4 de fevereiro de 2009, às 15h15 com a música “Detalhes”, na voz de Roberto Carlos. A rádio está localizada na cidade de Piumhi, no Centro Oeste de Minas Gerais, a 280 km da capital Belo Horizonte.

Idealizada pelos empresários Ivamar Goulart da Silva, Otacílio Gonçalves Tomé, Amália Darcy Gonçalves Tomé e Genoveva do Socorro Vaz Silva, a emissora foi criada com o propósito de preencher uma lacuna no setor de radiofusão da cidade, visando democratizar a informação de forma responsável e isenta. Além disso, também trouxe alegria e entretenimento por meio de uma programação musical eclética e popular. Outra meta da rádio é prestar serviços à comunidade, promovendo e apoiando eventos culturais, beneficentes e sociais.

Moreover, it also brought joy and entertainment by a popular and eclectic music programming.
