What is Pm Awas Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U), a major mission implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The government of India launched this mission on 25 June 2015. • Economically Weak Section (EWS): Your family's annual income is Rs. Should not exceed 3 lakhs.
• Low Income Group (LIG): Your annual household income is between Rs. 3 lakhs and Rs. 6 lakhs.
• Middle Income Group I (MIG I): Your annual household income is Rs. 6 lakhs to Rs. 1.2 million.
• Middle Income Group II (MIG II): Your family's annual income is Rs. Is more than. 12 lakhs and less Rs. 18 lakhs.

In addition, you or your family members should not have a pucca house or take advantage of any other government housing scheme anywhere in the country.

• If you are eligible for PMAY and are thinking about how to apply for PMAY online, follow this step-by-step guide listed below:
• Identify in which category you are eligible for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
• After that go to the official website.
• Under the main menu, click on 'Citizen Assessment' and select the category of the applicant.
• You will be redirected to a separate page where you will have to enter your Aadhaar details.
• Complete the online PMAY application with your personal, income, and bank account details and current residential address.
• Enter the captcha code, verify the details for accuracy and submit.

You can then track the status of the application by clicking on 'Track Your Assessment Status' under 'Citizen Assessment'.

How can you register for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana offline

If you can't apply online and are thinking about how to apply, PM Awas Yojana also supports offline application. Just go to the state Government - run Common Service Center, fill up the application and pay Rs 25 plus GST additional. Please, note that no private center or bank can accept Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) offline application.
