PhishJustJams

This app is intended to bring the experience of PhishJustJams.com from the web to your phone so that it is easier to manage, and will play continuously in the background. Phish Just Jams presents the music of Phish with the lyrics and composed sections removed, so you can get just to the jams. I love Phish's songs, but I find it distracting to hear lyrics when I am working or reading, so I created this collection of just Phish jams.


Please note that this is a streaming app, so all content will be streamed off of the Phish Just Jams website; if you're not on WiFi, please note that data will be used.

Tips and Tricks:

• Click on PJJ logo button to enter filters
• Long-press tracks to see options (see 7th screenshot)
• Long-press Now Playing area to reset all filters
• In filter section, long-press any of the filter buttons to reset that filter to all options selected
• Click the large X and then press refresh to update the track lists if new tracks have been uploaded and you don't see them yet.

How to Use the App:

Start the app and click on a track to start playing. You can click on the PJJ button on the menu bar (see the third screenshot) to launch the Filters selection page (see the fourth screenshot). From there you can see the currently selected filters, and click on "Year", "Tour", "Song", or "Duration" to select those filters. You may select as many of the options as you wish, but if you select none of the options, then by default the options will be selected for that filter.

Back on the main filters page, if you Long-Press on any of the buttons, it will select all of the options for that filter.

To get back to the main list, simply hit the back button on your phone. The list will update automatically to contain only songs that meet your filters. When the song ends and a new one begins, it will be from this list. So if you chose Years=1997 and Tours=Fall, then only the tracks from Fall 1997 will show up. If you would like to VIEW the full list (without changing your filters), you can tap on the "Now Playing" area. Simply tap the "Now Playing" area again to get back the filtered list. Tapping on the "Now Playing" area does not affect the filters.

You can reset all filters at once by Long-Clicking on the "Now Playing" area.

If you Long-Click on any of the tracks in the list, you will see an options menu as in the 7th screenshot. From there you may "Select" the year or song of that track, which will change the filter to only include that year/song. Or you may "Add" the year or song of that track, which will add it to the current list of filters. You may also select to "Set as Next Song", which means it will play next whenever the track ends or you hit next track. And lastly you may click to "View Setlist" for the show, which will take you to the phish.net setlist for the show.

By default the next track is chosen at random from the current filtered list, but if you choose, you can click on the random/shuffle button next to the PJJ logo in the menu bar, it will switch to a play button to indicate that the tracks will play in order.
