PetDialog Studies is an app built to support blind data collection for the purposes of scientific research. It incorporates two fully validated tools: the PetDialog+ Canine Veterinary Wellness System (powered by Oggii) and NewMetrica’s Health Related Quality of Life assessment. These tools allow researchers to track the activity behaviour of your dog and its quality of life for the duration of the study.
If your veterinary practice is participating in the research study, enter the unique study code they provide you with into the app and then register your details and those of your dog. Follow simple in-app instructions to set up your PetDialog+ device, and then place the device on your dog’s collar. Periodically you will be required to submit your answers to the simple quality of life surveys; a push notification on your phone will alert you when you need to do so. Notifications will also be sent if your PetDialog+ device has stopped syncing and transferring the activity data it has collected from your dog. When this happens, please ensure the device is within range of the Wi-Fi network it is registered to and follow in-app instructions to manually sync. To change the registered Wi-Fi network, visit the PetDialog+ Settings screen and follow the instructions.
