Orientation Week Leiden (OWL) is the introduction week for new international students at Leiden University. Organised twice every year, it kicks of the autumn semester - with the Summer OWL in August - and spring semester - with the Winter OWL in January. OWL introduces students to their new city, their faculty and the rich student life Leiden has to offer through a fun and varied programme. The Orientation Week Leiden was first held in 2013. Ever since, thousands of students have launched their journey in the Netherlands at OWL.
