Application qui permet en scannant le code barre d'un produit alimentaire d'afficher son score nutritionnel sous forme de feux tricolores. Un système d'information nutritionnelle synthétique, intuitif et qui renseigne sur la qualité nutritionnelle globale des aliments.

Le score de chaque aliment est calculé selon une méthode simple, validée sur le plan international, qui prend en compte les calories, l'apport en sel, en graisses saturées et en sucres ajoutés.

Les organisations de consommateurs, les associations professionnelles de médecins et les caisses d’assurance plaident pour sa mise en place. Et l’immense majorité des consommateurs y est aussi favorable. Le but étant de favoriser l'accès pour tous à une alimentation de qualité, saine et équilibrée.

Selon une étude indépendante australienne, les consommateurs ont plus de chances de choisir des produits plus sains avec le système tricolore.
A l’université de Grenoble, un chercheur a montré qu’avec les feux tricolores, la consommation quotidienne de sucre chute de 19%.

L'idée n'est pas neuve, et elle est déjà appliquée au Royaume-Uni (sur la base du volontariat des industriels).

Le système des feux tricolores, permet de se repérer rapidement sur la qualité nutritionnelle des produits de supermarchés, mais il offre aussi la possibilité de comparer des produits de marques différentes pour privilégier, par exemple, les marques de céréales les moins grasses et les moins sucrées ou les lasagnes bolognaises ou les pizzas qui ont le meilleur profil nutritionnel.
