MusiQ: Your room, your music, your crew
MusiQ is the application that enables you and your friends to spontaneously and interactively create a collective music experience during your social gatherings. You simply create a virtual room where all of you can add your favorite music from YouTube and SoundCloud. Rooms can be created with various playback modes, so you and your friends are free to decide as a group which music to play in what order and which content to skip.
You are ready to get started with MusiQ when everyone is in the same room and registered via email or your Twitter, Google or Facebook account.
Features
Create a virtual room and invite your friends to join it. You can invite them through a generated link, but they can also search for the room’s name. Your friends can now use the entire spectrum of content found on YouTube and SoundCloud to add their favorite music to the room. They can either enter the link of a source, add it per drag and drop from the global list, or from their list of favorites. As the creator of a room you are its administrator. Only you can see the music player, rearrange the content’s order, and remove entries from the room. After a music entry has been played, it is automatically removed from the room. In addition to these standard features, there are two more modes rooms can be created with. Use the voting mode to enable everyone in the room to change the order of the content in the queue by voting it up or down. If half of the people in a room vote the same video or song down by using the arrow buttons, it drops out of the room. The repeat mode enables the administrator to play the music in a continuous loop, or to shuffle it.
Global List
Every content that has ever been added into MusiQ is saved in the Global List, which is accessible for every user of MusiQ. Songs and Videos from this list can be added into rooms once again.
Favorites
MusiQ users can mark content as favorites from any room, which then appear in their own list of favorites.
