Cool game in the middle of the action, you shoot metal marbles, knock boxes off the end of the world, and watch them fall. When all the boxes are out of this world more will return. Just don’t fall off the edge: this will end the game. This first person realist game provide joystick control and fire button.
To drive the car: Touch and slide the green control on the left forward, back to go backwards, right to turn right left to turn left.
To shoot marbles: Touch the red fire button on the right, press and hold for rapid repetitive fire.
The game is a demonstration for Mediavention Inc. (http://mediavention.com) how we can pull together large libraries of code and build solution fast. The total solution was completed in two weeks.
This is an integration of OpenGL, and Java via JNI. Multiple touch points are detected and managed on the Java side, then passed down to the C++ layer which then integrates with the game engine libs to drive the screen image refreshing.
The engine for the game is based on the Irrlicht game engine (http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net) with physics and collision detection coming from the Bullet-C (http://continuousphysics.com/Bullet/) api.
The initial work came from renzhi (http://renzhi.ca) I have taken that open source work and built this solution from it. The complete source code for the game is open source and available, just contact me at [email protected] and I will send you a link to the code.
