This collection contains a variety of compositions including varnams, kritis, swarajatis, padams, bhajans, & thiruppugazhs, showcasing MS’ vocal mastery and versatility across 6 languages- Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Sanskrit and Hindi.

Among the ragas presented are Kalyani, Bhairavi, Huseni and Jaunpuri, a carefully curated blend of ‘heavy’ and ‘light’ ragas.

These pristine studio recordings, TILL NOW UNRELEASED, have been digitally re-mastered from the original source tapes (zealously preserved since 1978) for a truly enchanting listening experience.

M. S. Subbulakshmi, needs no introduction. Described as the “nightingale of India”, MS was the first ever musician to be conferred with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award, amongst many other accolades and honors- among them, Sangitha Kalanidhi (1968), and The Ramon Magsaysay award (1974). In 1981 she was appointed as Member d'Honneur, The International Music Council.She was not only an artist or musician, but an incarnation of music itself.
