Based on the idea of social networks, these would be effectively ‘closed’ networks (invitation only) whereby the primary carer of a person living with dementia/PLWD or the PLSW themselves can create a community, invite people to join this and share information and request assistance with community members through the app. The point of these networks is to allow someone living with dementia to remain at home and live independent for longer.
The carer/PLWD can share requests for assistance and help, tasks that might need doing around the house (e.g. mowing the lawn, assistance with meals, spending time with the person living with dementia etc) or other needs that the community might be willing to assist with (e.g., driving them to appointments, doing their shopping etc).
