The Lite version had >1700 downloads, rated by 14 people at an average of 4.57 The Pro version of this app now works under Android 5.0. People perhaps forgot to install at least one database for the Lite version. Without a database it doesn't do anything. I suspect they then just deleted the app. The Pro version now auto-downloads 11 databases so the app can actually DO something when it starts. ThinkPads, have the most "product details" in the extended description. The multi-search function changed from using a comma (to separate strings of text/partnumbers) to a + (plus sign). The text entry field suggests "stringA+stringB+..." to help users figure out what to do. Make sure you tick the Description box if you are searching for text as opposed to strictly partnumbers (full or partial).

Feedback from users is most welcome.

If you search for "manual" in the Description, you will see some instructions on using LenovoLook Pro, and below are some screen captures to help.

In the first screen capture below, LenovoLook Pro is open, and showing the list of automatically-installed databases. In the second we have chosen US ThinkPads as the database ready for searching. (The major change from LenovoLook Lite to LenovoLook Pro was the addition of an automatic download and installation function, to get a series of databases.) This means the app is now ready to go when you first install it.

The Lookup window at the bottom is ready for you to enter a full or partial partnumber, and one or more text strings. Type over the "stringA" text with whatever you want to search for. Use the plus sign to separate different strings. For example. if you were looking for a list of current 20AS machines (ThinkPad L440), you would just type 20as and hit FIND. (You do not need to use upper case = easier on phones & tablets.)

You will get a list of models, which you can scroll through. "Mark" any one and various values will appear at the bottom - for example - price, supply, etc. Press SHOW and the extended description of the marked item will appear. Press CLOSE to return to the list of hits, and COPY TO CLIPBOARD if you want to email the extended description from your phone to someone.

Suppose you wanted to see if there were any 20AS models with a 128GB SSD and fingerprint recognition, you would type 20as+128gb+finger and tick the "Description" box (because the text would likely be found in the extended description of a system unit). Then hit FIND.
The next screen capture shows the list of hits. You can use lots of different strings...ssd, finger, optimus, xeon, hdmi, sdhc mil-spec, etc. Search for MANUAL and a list of several more suggestions. Try them all. We believe you will find this capability very useful.

Coming soon is a FRU to Marketing Cross Reference database. With this, you will be able to look up a FRU (service part number). Suppose it is a memory module, left over after a field upgrade. You will be able to find (1) the matching marketing option number, (2) see the price & supply of the option part, and (3) see a list of those system units that support the option. Suppose you have one or several of those supported system units, e.g. ThinkPad L540's. Switch to the US ThinkPads database, and search for l540+open-yes and you will see if there are any current L540 models that came from the factory with one or more open memory sockets, to help you find homes for any spare memory modules. Is there any other tool that will do this ?

If you install a copy of the PC Sales Guide/Configurator application for Windows, you can create your own databases, with product descriptions in English, French or German - see www.pscfg.com/downloads.htm - where there are also some sample databases for LenovoLook Pro, including two with older systems, now long withdrawn. (The older ones are not set up to recognise open-yes as regards memory sockets.)
A movie for LenovoLook Pro is now available at www.pscfg.com/lenlookpro.mp4
