Le Coran est le livre sacre de l'islam pour les Musulmans, qui le considerent reprendre verbatim la parole de Dieu. La tradition musulmane le presente comme le premier ouvrage redige en langue arabe, avec le caractere specifique dans l'islam d'inimitabilite dans la beaute et dans les idees.
