Para su uso, es necesario disponer de conexión a internet activa para poder ejecutarla con toda su operatividad y, en algún apartado, también puede ser necesario tener activado algún sistema de ubicación en tu dispositivo, para poder situar lugares u obtener las directrices de cómo llegar hasta ellos.
Langreo trata de ser una aplicación que informe sobre los eventos que se desarrollan en este municipio asturiano y, a la vez, informar sobre los interesantes puntos de interés que pueden resultar seductores para los visitantes.
Langreo es un municipio de Asturias que se caracteriza fundamentalmente por su pasado minero e industrial. Todos sus distritos cuentan con elementos que pueden resultar atractivos para los foráneos y para los propios langreanos: Riaño, Barros, La Felguera, Lada, Sama, Tuilla y Ciaño son sus principales poblaciones.
Debido a su pasado, el municipio cuenta con un patrimonio industrial digno de ver, además de su patrimonio civil (en ocasiones muy relacionado con la industria y la minería), religioso, pictórico y escultórico. Las iglesias del medievo, torres, casonas y palacetes son dignos de ver y visitar.
La aplicación cuenta con una sección de Noticias, noticias sobre los acontecimientos relacionados con la cultura, el deporte o el turismo del municipio. La sección de Eventos muestra las diferentes actividades que se desarrollan. En la de los Museos, podemos conocer un poco más sobre los ubicados en el municipio y, si accedemos a la de Ubicaciones, veremos su situación en el mapa, junto con otros centros de exposición. Además la sección de Patrimonio nos ayuda a conocer los elementos ubicados en el municipio que resultan de interés al visitante. Otro apartado nos muestra las Rutas que se pueden realizar por nuestro municipio y, por último una sección de Vídeos que hablan sobre Langreo.
El municipio es sede del Museo de la Siderurgia de Asturias (MUSI), donde se realizan exposiciones permanentes. Además cuenta con la Pinacoteca Municipal "Eduardo Úrculo", el Ecomuseo y tren minero "Valle de Samuño" y el centro audiovisual "Cine Felgueroso". Además, algunas de las casonas cuentan con centros de exposición: como la de los Alberti, sede además de la oficina de información juvenil,del Centru de la Cultura y de la Llingua Asturiana.
