Glenn Fredly mengawali kariernya saat dia menjadi vokalis “Funk Section”. Pada tahun 1995 (setahun setelah ia lulus SMA pada tahun 1994) Funk Section meluncurkan sebuah album eksklusif yang dikemas secara apik. Tiga tahun kemudian, Glenn bernyanyi solo dan meluncurkan sebuah album yang bertajuk GLENN dengan bermodalkan 8 buah lagu. Dalam album ini terdapat 3 buah lagu yang sering dinyanyikan Glenn yaitu “Kau” dan “Cukup Sudah” serta “MOBIL MAMA” yang menjadi hits di Malaysia.
Album kedua diluncurkan pada tahun 2000 dengan judul KEMBALI. Dalam album ini terdapat beberapa hits seperti “Salam Bagi Sahabat” dan “Kasih Putih”. Seperti album perdananya, album ini masih bernaung di bawah Sony Music Indonesia dengan produser Aminoto Kosin. Album ini pun bernasib sama seperti album sebelumnya, meskipun cukup dikenal, namun kedua album Glenn ini belum memenuhi keinginan major label baik itu dari segi popularitas maupun penjualan.
Dengan keraguan besar dari pihak label, Glenn yang beragama Kristen ini meluncurkan album ketiganya bertajuk “Selamat Pagi, Dunia!” (2003). Tak dinyana banyak hits yang muncul dari album ini. Hits yang paling mengguncang Indonesia adalah lagu “Januari”. Keberhasilan album ini membuat pihak Sony Music Indonesia membuat album repackage tahun 2004, dikemas dengan bonus VCD karaoke dan Unplugged Live Performance. Glenn Fredly started his career when he became the lead singer "Funk Section". In 1995 (a year after he graduated from high school in 1994) Funk Section launched an exclusive album nicely packaged. Three years later, Glenn sings solo and launched an album titled GLENN to capitalize 8 songs. In this album there are 3 songs are often sung by Glenn as "You" and "Enough" and "MAMA CAR" which became hits in Malaysia.
The second album was launched in 2000 with the title RETURN. In this album there are several hits like "Greetings For Friends" and "White Love". Like the first album, this album is still under the auspices of Sony Music Indonesia with producer Aminoto Kosin. This album has the same fate as previous albums, although it is quite well known, but Glenn's second album major label yet meet the wishes both in terms of popularity and sales.
With great trepidation on the part of the label, Glenn Christian launched his third album entitled "Good Morning, World" (2003). Unexpectedly many hits that appear on this album. The most hits off Indonesia is the song "January". The success of this album makes the Sony Music Indonesia make repackage album in 2004, packaged with a bonus VCD karaoke and Unplugged Live Performance.
