"KidDylex" is an Android learning application designed specially for the kids who are having dyslexia, but at the same time there is no limitation of type of users to use this application. Even the normal kids can have fun in their learning process by using this application.
This app is based on multisensory approach to learning, hearing, speaking and imagination technique of letters and numbers by using the object around us.
The objectives of this application are:
• To provide a simple teaching strategic and instruction for teachers or parents in handling dyslexic kids.
• To create a fun environment for dyslexic kids in their learning process.
• To make sure that dyslexic kids get the same knowledge like non dyslexic kids.
How it is taught?
• Alphabets - Children will hear, trace, pronounce and identify the letters. Each letters are introduced in 5 sets and from each of that, 3 letters are chosen consist 2 almost similar letters that the dyslexic children kept mistaken of.
• Numbers - Children will learn a number from 0 to 9. Each of numbers are described by the number of object.
• Exercises - In here, an imagination technique is used. From a letter or number, children will be taught on how to remembering the letter or number by imagining it as a real object around us. Example: letter m as a camel hump.
• Quiz - In here, kids are given 10 questions to answer to determine their strength in identifying a thing with almost similar spelling. Children will enhance their hearing and sighting technique when answering the questions.
• Game - This is the bonus part of the app. After the learning process, the children can play a puzzle game. This game is not only for fun purposes, but it also can test the memory and sharpen the solving skills of the children. They can set their own level of hardness to play in the game and they are free to choose any picture as the subject of the game.
