JS Addo Scholarship Foundation

The J. S. Addo Scholarship Foundation has been established to give back to society through the awarding of scholarships to brilliant but needy students and to honour the legacy and character of Hon. John Sackah Addo who through hard work, entrepreneurship, dedication to duty, integrity and a good name, among many other excellent attributes, has risen from very humble beginnings into prominence.
It is a known fact that every year thousands of very bright students graduate from our Senior High Schools and naturally they are expected to enter into our tertiary institutions to continue with their education.

This seemly simple process however is not as simple and smooth as described for some Senior High School graduates.Usually, hundreds of these Senior High School graduates fall by the way side through no fault of theirs. These bright students are not able to make progress because one difficulty or another befalls them. Mostly, it is either both parents are just too poor to afford the bills of a tertiary education or the means are simply not there. Other times, these students lose major bread winners or are orphaned altogether. One tragedy or another transpires that takes them off the educational tracks, so they are not able to continue with their education.
It is for this reason, among others, that the J.S. Addo Scholarship Foundation has been set up to support vetted brilliant but needy Senior High School graduates who are not able to pay their way through university.

The J. S. Addo Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to proven brilliant but needy students who have demonstrated exemplary leadership initiative, hard work, entrepreneurship, integrity and citizenship.
