O Conselho Regional de Contabilidade de Minas Gerais - CRCMG foi criado através do Decreto-Lei 9.295, de 27 de maio de 1946, no Governo de Eurico Gaspar Dutra, e significou o resultado de um longo
processo que a classe contábil, através de suas lideranças, realizou junto aos poderes públicos e à sociedade para conquistar um órgão colegiado que representasse a regulamentação definitiva da
profissão.
O Conselho Regional de Contabilidade de Minas Gerais tem como competência orientar, disciplinar e fiscalizar, legal, técnica e eticamente, o exercício da profissão contábil em todo o Estado.
Assim como os demais Conselhos Regionais de Contabilidade do país, o CRCMG está integrado ao Conselho Federal de Contabilidade e prima pelo desenvolvimento de ações que fortaleçam e valorizem o profissional de contabilidade, além de realizar a integração da profissão, intraclasse e com a sociedade.
