This app can be used as game, then a Japanese-Sum riddle will be generated and you can try to solve it, or you can use the app for solving a Japanese-Sum riddle from other sources.
If you use the app for playing, click the "new game" button to generate a new ridlle. Using the check button will show you which of your values are right (green coloured) or false (red coloured).
Using the solve button will solve the entire riddle and show you the solution.
If you want to use the app for solving a given riddle, press the solve riddle button, then enter the sum values in the corresponding fields. Press solve to solve the riddle.
For further Versions, improvement of the usability (save games, improved user interface), is planned.
Rules:
The Game is played on a quadratic grid. The size of the grid can be chosen by the player. At the beginning of the game the grid is empty. On the left and on the upper corner of the playfield values, corresponding the the lines an columns of the grid are written down.
You have to fill the grid with numbers so that:
- every number is singular per line per collumn. The number must be smaller or equal to a maximal value.
- Addition of the numbers result to the numbers wich are given on the playfields border. (in the corresponding order). The sums are separated by empty fields. A sum can comprise also of only one element.
