In The Kitchen With Stacey

I knew I wanted to be a chef when I was a little girl baking with my Easy Bake Oven. I wrote to Bobby Flay when I was eleven years old and told him I twisted around one of recipes. He was impressed\nthat he invited me to go to New York, but I couldn’t as my family and I just moved to Florida. That passion gave me the drive to get my first job at fourteen years old at a smoothie shop, where I\nbecame a supervisor. I became a student of the culinary arts program at my high school and apprenticed at a local country club. I competed in culinary competitions to earn scholarships to aid for my\neducation at Johnson & Wales University.\n

During my time at Johnson & Wales University, I became a Teaching Assistant my freshman year. I worked with the University on various television events, photoshoots, and had the opportunity\nwith celebrity and industry professionals.
\nBut then love happened….

I met my husband on my internship for my Bachelor’s Degree in a small restaurant in Germany. Victor was my supervisor…..it was a good internship. We traveled throughout Germany, Belgium, and the\nNetherlands. We shared the passion of the kitchen, hard work, and food together, as we do now.

Upon graduation, I went to work in Germany for one year. Europe was once in a lifetime experience. Victor left Germany and came over to the United States to be with me. He left everything and\neveryone he knew, for me.

\n

I had the opportunity to go to the James Beard House to prepare a meal with my team from the luxury resort/hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. After I left the hotel, I went back to the county club,\nwhere I was an apprentice and became their Executive Sous Chef.

\n

I am now in the educational aspect of the culinary industry, while staying home for a few years with our two beautiful daughters. I lived and breathed the University, and still do till this\nday.

I loved my work in the kitchen as a chef and yes I do miss it. I am now in the educational aspect of the culinary industry. I am in the process of working on my Master’s Degree in Higher Education\nAdministration.

I love creating and hosting parties! I am in the kitchen everyday with my three year old making something. I like to make crafts with my toddler. I enjoy writing and sewing.
