אפליקציית "ראיתי פרפר" לדיווח תצפיות בפרפרים, מיועדת לחובבי טבע ולקהל הרחב, מתאימה לכל רמה של היכרות עם עולם הפרפרים. ומאפשרת לכל חובב לדווח על פרפרים מבלי הצורך להקליד נתונים.
היישום מאפשר דיווח לפי שם או לפי תמונת הפרפר מתוך אלבום משפחות הפרפרים.
אפשר גם לדווח על פרפר בלתי מזוהה בעזרת משלוח הצילום לאתר לזיהוי בעזרת מומחה.
כדי לדווח יש להירשם תחילה כמשתמש חדש באתר, דרך מסך הגדרות .
נתוני התצפיות נאספים אל פורטל/מאגר תצפיות הפרפרים של "תכנית לאומית לניטור פרפרים",
פרויקט מדע-אזרחי רב שנים ורב מתנדבים ביוזמה וניהול של "אגודת חובבי הפרפרים בישראל".

"I-Saw-a-Butterfly" is a reporting app that takes advantage of Mobile high-end technology to provide quality data on butterfly sightings, based on the concept of getting maximum data with minimum typing.
This app, aims at citizen science observers (Europe and Israel), is an extended version developed by 'GlueCAD - Biodiversity IT' for the EU BON project (Building the European Biodiversity Observation Network)
EU BON is funded by the European Union under the 7th Framework program, Contract No. 308454.
Content:
- Online link to Wikipedia info for every scientific name
- Online link to weather web-based data from the closes weather station
- Menu language option through app setup includes English and Hebrew.
Observations are reported to BMS-IL (GlueCAD server) : http://www.gluecad-bio.com
Main Features:
- User can select species name from a List or from a Family album of pictures
- Select camera to take picture and document an unidentified butterfly (currently for Israeli list)
- Data is either selected or clicked. No typing except "Remark"
- GPS location, altitude and time data is recorded
- Offline recording with auto-send of stored data when mobile Internet is gained back (currently for Israeli list)
