HIRAKANA, the Hiragana & Katakana flashcard game produced by Ume Studios.

HiraKana was developed as a tool for learning the Japanese alphabets by using flashcards and repetition. This application continuously feeds the user with random flashcards - if the user guesses incorrectly three-times, the correct translation will be displayed on the screen; if the user guesses correctly, a new flashcard will be drawn.

The level of difficulty can be adjusted to introduce new letters into the mix. The default difficulty includes all characters, and the most basic difficulty includes only the vowels. This makes the HiraKana app. perfect for individuals of all knowledge levels.

There are three game modes: Hiragana, Katakana, HiraKana. The first two modes do exactly what you would expect them to do - display the hiragana and katakana alphabets respectively. The third mode (HiraKana) displays a random character drawn from either the hiragana and katakana alphabets. This allows you to learn and test both alphabets at once!

This application is designed for individuals who already have a basic understanding of the alphabets, and just want an app. for continuous practice. However, I have found myself learning by just increasing the difficulty meter and solving by trial and error.

Best of luck, and hope you enjoy this application!
