Hawker POS is a mobile app for food hawkers to manage food orders.

It is a point of sale (POS) system that helps hawkers not to miss any orders and process the orders in an efficient way.

Food preparing and food ordering staff work seamlessly on the orders with mobile phones or tablets that synchronize the order status remotely.

The app is designed for hawker business that is with 2 types of staff, the food preparer and order taker.

Food preparer’s job is just for preparing food whereas order taker is responsible for taking food orders from customers, sending the food and collecting payment.

The way to process the food orders with the app is as follows:

1. Order taker select a food item for the customer by clicking the food menu in the app, click to confirm the customer table number, or use the customer gender or shirt colour to identify the customer.

2. Food preparer prepares the food according to the orders with status "Ordered" in the list shown in the app and clicks to change the order status to "Food Ready" when food is prepared and ready for delivery.

3. Order taker delivers the "Food Ready" order and collects payment from the customer, and then click to change the order status to "Delivered". The order is deemed closed.

Order taker sets the customer with customer information (like table number, gender or shirt colour) in the app for identification.

The app has built-in food menu creating function, no other app is needed.

To create an item in the Food Menu, take a photo of the food, crop it and name it, it is that simple.

There are two types of user for the app, assistant user and admin user.

The assistant user’s role is as follow:
1. Add and edit food orders
2. Change order status
3. Cancel order

The admin user’s role:
1. All the above assistant user’s role
2. Delete all food orders
3. Add, edit and delete food items
4. Add assistant users to and remove them from the group
5. Purchase, change or cancel monthly subscription.
