Grab Sentry (which can run in the background) will detect any sudden movement of the phone, and, either sound an alarm and/or send a text (SMS) message which includes approximate GPS location to a designated mobile phone. Text messages will continue to be sent (at a predetermined interval) thus providing a trail to the location of the phone. You can then use this information to inform the authorities and hopefully track down your phone. The detection sensitivity can be finely tuned for different scenarios like the phone being lifted off your desk or grabbed/snatched from your bag/satchel etc.
