We would especially like to welcome all children and adolescents, who participate in rising numbers every year in the Summer School for String Music GIOCOSO XIX. These are young people who maybe have their first contact with these instruments, or those who simply want to improve their instrumental skills learned during the Music School year. For this purpose, one-to-one lessons are offered. Of particular importance is also the experience of playing music together, in duos, trios and in chamber music ensembles. Traditionally, this seminar also addresses those experienced, still ‘young at heart’ free time musicians who - under the professional guidance of the instructors - play their instrument to their best here in Lieboch. Every evening a rehearsal of the seminar orchestra takes place, where the instructors surprise with new arrangements and freshly printed works from well-renowned publishing houses. Every year the sessions with Afro-percussions are something new for all participants, since the teaching is done very vividly, using African drums. In this way, the rhythmic understanding of everyone taking part in these group sessions is developed individually.
At the suggestion of participants there is now also a language course in German.
