Fractal Wallpaper Gallery is a free collection of stunning colorful images of Mandelbrot and Julia fractals. Unlike most other fractal image live wallpapers, Fractal Wallpaper Gallery contains static fractal imagery which does not drain battery life by performing the intensive fractal generator equations on your device.
This simple app consists of an image gallery which allows easy selection of any of the 50 included fractal images as your home background image. These stunning images are categorized into 6 different color schemes so you can personalize your home background to meet your own tastes.
These fractal images are produced using fractal generator software developed in-house by KRE Software. Fractal generation requires intensive and recursive calculation of complex numbers for each pixel within the image. The escape velocity (the number of times each pixel had to be recursively fed through the formula) of each pixel is then mapped to a color to produce vibrant images.
Fractal images often produce complex structures similar to basic crystalline and cellular structures found in nature. Another interesting aspect of fractal images is that they are often both symmetrical and infinitely self-repeating. Zooming in on an area of the fractal reveals consistent and often identically reproduced structures as when viewed at original size.
