Findle checks out the Wifi and Cell Towers in your area! This is a fun app I've been working on for a while. Findle allows you to leave your phone in your pocket or use your phone while the app does the work.
Findle uses your GPS Location to record where you saw the Wifi and Cell Towers.
Keeps the points of seen wifi and cell towers in csv and json files, including all that you would want to know about it.
Just plug up your phone and check out everything you saw!
Findle Features:
Sees wifi and cell towers
Records location wifi and cell towers were seen
Stores information in csv and json
Can change time and distance change for when record writing happens. (time in second and distance in meters)
Works in the background so that app doesn't need to be constantly open
Restarts background service when the phone is turned on in case the phone was accidently turned off (Feature can be disabled)
Files can be uploaded to free services online for visual look at seen wifi and cell towers.
Explaining Permissions used by Findle:
This app requires a number of permissions to use these features. The permissions include:
Access coarse and fine location: This allows the app to record where the wireless points were seen.
Internet Network, and Wifi-State: This allows the app to look for Wifi and see basic information about it.
Read/Write External Storage: This allows the app to store the files on the external storage devices.
Boot Completed: This allows the app to restart when the phone restarts.
Note: This is my first attempt at making a fully functional app, please be patient with any bugs.
