El Festival de las Artes es un programa permanente del Ministerio de Cultura y Juventud, bajo la tutela del Centro de Producción Artística y Cultural (CPAC).
Desde este 2015, el Festival se realizará anualmente bajo el nombre FIA (Festival Internacional de las Artes), con lo cual se busca equiparar la oferta cultural y la inversión en sus dos variantes: dentro y fuera de la capital.
El FIA es un evento organizado desde 1989 por el Ministerio de Cultura y Juventud de Costa Rica, con el objetivo es democratizar la cultura a través de distintos espectáculos artísticos sin costo alguno para miles de costarricenses.
La edición 2015 del FIA tomará más de una veintena de escenarios en los cantones de Aserrí, Alajuelita, Acosta y Desamparados, durante abril y mayo.

The Festival of the Arts is a permanent program of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, under the tutelage of the Center for Arts and Cultural Production (CPAC).
Since the 2015, the Festival is an annual event under the name FIA (International Festival of the Arts), which seeks to equate cultural and investment in its two variants: inside and outside the capital.
The FIA is an event organized since 1989 by the Ministry of Culture and Youth of Costa Rica, with the aim to democratize culture through various artistic performances at no cost to thousands of Costa Ricans.
The 2015 edition of the FIA will take more than twenty scenarios in the cantons of Aserrí, Alajuelita, Acosta and Forsaken, during April and May.
