어느 날 주인공 아인헤자르의 친구 지그프리드는 자신이 위협받고 있다며 편지를 보내고
그의 집에 찾아간 아인헤자르는 누군가의 습격을 받아 정신을 잃게 된다.
다시 정신을 차려보니 감옥에 갇혔다는 것을 알게 되었다.
그리고 그 순간 갑작스러운 세계수의 붕괴로 탈옥의 기회가 생긴다.
