The New Zealand men's cricket team is scheduled to tour Bangladesh in September 2023 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches. The International Cricket Council (ICC) finalized the bilateral series in a press release. The matches will be used as preparation ahead of the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Later they will return in November 2023 to play two Test matches. The Test series will be a part of 2023 - 2025 ICC World Test Championship.

Much-changed Bangladesh will host second string New Zealand in a three-match ODI series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, starting with the opener on Thursday (September 21).
Bangladesh will be led by Litton Das in the first two matches with the likes of Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taskin Ahmed among the players being given a rest after the Asia Cup 2023. They, however, are likely to return for the third ODI. Despite resting some of the core members, Bangladesh will not have any shortage of experience with Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar and Nurul Hasan Sohan all returning. Plus, the Tigers have also called up three uncapped players - southpaw Zakir Hasan, pacer Khaled Ahmed and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain, who could all be in line for debuts during the ODI series.
