Emisoras Dominicanas

Historia de la radio en la República Dominicana se inició con la primera ocupación norteamericana al país del 1916 - 1924, durante ese periodo fueron instalados sistemas de comunicación radiotelegráficos con fines estratégicos.

En el 1926, el ingeniero Frank Hattón Guerrero construyó un transmisor de 10 vatios, de amplitud modulada (AM) y transmitió la primera señal de broadeasting en el país, así nació la primera emisora, nombrada HIH (HI por el prefijo internacional Hispaniola y la H por Hatton.

Transmitía de manera especial eventos deportivos que se realizaban en los Estados Unidos.
Se afirma que en el 1926, los hermanos Erros, de nacionalidad puertorriqueña instalaron una emisora en la provincia de la Romana, nombrada como "La voz del Papagayo".

Radio Club Dominicano.

Es una entidad fundada el 12 de octubre del 1926, con la finalidad de reunir a sus socios y todas las personas interesadas en las telecomunicaciones.

Emisora oficial del Estado Dominicano.

El 8 de abril 1928 sale al aire HIX, la estación oficial del Estado Dominicano, con la asistencia del presidente de la República Dominicana, Horacio Vásquez y su esposa Trina de Moya. Ese día se transmitió por primera vez el Himno Nacional.

On April 8, 1928 HIX out the air, the official station of the Dominican State, with the assistance of the President of the Dominican Republic, Horacio Vasquez and his wife Trina de Moya. That day was broadcast for the first time the National Anthem.
