The head of the institute, Dr. Gad Al-Qadi, stated, on Tuesday, that the crescent of the month of Ramadan will be born at 8:25 am Cairo time, 10:25 am Abu Dhabi time, 9:25 am Mecca Al-Mukarramah time, on Friday, the current 29th of Sha’ban, and the first of next April ( sighting day).
He pointed out that the new crescent will remain in the skies of Makkah and Cairo for 17 minutes after sunset on the day of sighting, and in the rest of the governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the new crescent will remain in their skies for periods ranging from 10 to 25 minutes.
