You have probably thought of a middle-aged, unkempt-looking man living on the street next to a few pieces of cardboard. At least this is the image that much of society has of homeless people.

But the reality is that the profile of homelessness is changing. In Spain, at least 21% of homeless people are between 18 and 29 years old. This is a reality that is repeated in the rest of Europe and is increasing all the time.

Don't call me homeless' is a project promoted by Futuro&Co and the FACIAM network that brings us closer to the reality experienced by thousands of young people who are homeless in Spain.

You will meet Micaela, a young Colombian woman who arrived in Spain a few months ago fleeing the violence of armed groups in her village. Her arrival has been very complicated. With no support, she has been forced to spend several nights on the streets.

Together with her, you will walk through the streets of the city centre, while visiting some of the most important and touristic places. In each of them you will have to overcome a series of challenges and mini-games that will allow you to help Micaela overcome the situation she is going through and build her own future independently.

Download the app and learn more about youth homelessness:

1. How many young people between 18 and 29 years old are living in this situation in Spain.
2. Why homelessness is a problem that goes beyond housing.
3. What is being done in Spain and in Europe to try to eradicate it.

And you will learn about new social projects like Futuro&Co that are trying to provide an innovative response to this problem!

This project is possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030 and the European Next Generation funds.
