Setelah menjalankan sholat fardhu dianjurkan bagi kita semua untuk berzikir (wirid) dan juga berdoa. Dzikir (wirid) ini sangat penting karena diantara fungsinya adalah sebagai penyempurna dari kekurangan dalam shalat kita. Bahkan dzikir setelah shalat fardhu merupakan perintah langsung dari Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, walaupun dalam keadaan genting sekalipun seperti dalam keadaan perang. Sebagaimana firman-Nya:

“Maka apabila kamu telah menyelesaikan shalat(mu), ingatlah Allah di waktu berdiri, di waktu duduk dan di waktu berbaring.” (An-Nisa’: 103)

Ayat tersebut terkait dengan kondisi perang, maka dalam kondisi aman tentu lebih memungkinkan untuk melaksanakan dzikir.
